Marte Leys

Marte Leys is a doctoral fellow at the Crime & Society Research Group (CRiS) of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. Currently working on her FWO-application. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminology (VUB, 2024) and is mainly interested in problem solving courts, drug courts, penology and youth criminology. For her Master’s thesis, Marte did a systematic literature review on the effect of problem solving courts, more specifically drug courts, on recidivism and what the underlying mechanisms are.
