
Ena De Brucker
Ena De Brucker is currently a doctoral fellow at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, working on the FWO project "Who am I? Empowering self-identity of youth in residential care through creative storytelling and collaborative action research." She holds a Master's degree in Criminology (VUB, 2024), for which she wrote her master's thesis on youth judges' perspectives and experiences regarding the reprimand, and was awarded the Janine Segersprijs 2024. She also obtained a Master's degree in Forensic Criminology from Leiden University (2025), for which she conducted a media analysis on the framing of the Facebookmoord (2012) in Dutch newspapers. Her research interests focus on youth criminology, judicial practice and penology.
