Kyana De Boeck

Kyana De Boeck is a teaching assistant and PhD candidate. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminology (VUB, 2025). For her Master’s thesis, she examined electronic monitoring (EM) for juvenile delinquents in Flanders, focusing on the perspectives of juvenile court social service officers. Her research interests include youth criminology, penology, judicial practices, and qualitative research methods. Currently, she is doing a doctoral research that builds on her Master’s thesis, exploring electronic monitoring in Flanders from the viewpoints of professionals, children, and their caregivers.
