Randy Haers
Biografie
Randy Haers is a postdoctoral researcher at the Crime & Society Research Group, Free University of Brussels. He is a Master of Criminological Sciences and Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies, and has a PhD in Criminological Sciences. Prior to his academic endeavor, he worked in the social sector, where he conducted practice-oriented research within the fields of general social work and youth welfare services. This professional background continues to inform his scholarly work, grounding his research in applied settings and policy-relevant challenges.
His research focuses on multi-agency collaboration and the development of evidence-based strategies to address repeat urban offending, shaped through action research. His current postdoctoral work examines the design of evidence-based multi-agency frameworks to prevent radicalization and violent extremism.
