Lennert De Boe

I am a PhD student funded by the Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (FWO) conducting interdisciplinary research on palliative care for incarcerated individuals in Belgium. This project, a collaboration between the Department of Criminology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Department of Primary Care and Public Health at Ghent University, focuses on improving palliative care in prisons and strives to ensure a humane death for everyone. With a background in Social Work from Erasmus Hogeschool Brussel and Sociology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, I aim to bridge healthcare and criminology to address critical needs within prison care.
