
Ana Rocio Mena Blanco
Rocio Mena Blanco is a Joint PhD student as part of the Strategic International Partnership between Universidad Central ‘Marta Abreu’ de las Villas (UCLV), Cuba and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Her PhD is focused on the Conflicts of Universal Accessibility and the Right to the City in heritage public spaces. She is an Architect who graduated from Cuba in 2013 and is interested in urban criminology and sociological sciences.
With 10 years of experience, 5 of them in Investments and projects related to tourism in historical cities and the rest in Architecture and Urbanism projects with BIM technology, she now teaches at UCLV as part of the Heritage Department of that University. Rocio's research is under the supervision of Prof. Lucas Melgaço (VUB) and Prof. Ginley Duran (UCLV)
