
Noa Shoshan
Biography
Noa Shoshan is a voluntary member of the research group Crime & Society at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and an advocate of RESCALED, the European Movement for Detention Houses. She holds a Master’s degree in Criminology. Throughout her academic and professional journey, Noa’s commitment to meaningful justice reform has grown intensively. As Knowledge Manager at RESCALED, she is responsible for the collection, organisation, and dissemination of knowledge across the movement. She ensures that research and inspirational practices inform public awareness, policy advocacy, and the implementation of detention houses across Europe.
Noa has contributed to international justice work through guest lectures at universities, public speaking engagements across Europe and beyond, and collaborations with institutions such as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and the Council of the European Union. She regularly works with national and local actors who are driving systemic change for safe, inclusive and sustainable communities.
