Elisabeth Groeneveld

Elisabeth finished her bachelor and master in criminology at the KU Leuven, and started working on her doctoral research into communal cooking among incarcerated persons at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Leiden University. Her research is part of the Food-in-Custody Study, which is a project between Leiden University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, and the Dutch Custodial Institutional Agency (DCIA). Her research interests lie in prison research and especially how incarcerated persons create their own society within the decided upon circumstances.
