Ione Geerts

Ione obtained her Master degree in Criminology in 2023. Shortly after she started working at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel as a researcher and an internship coördinator.

As a part-time researcher she supports ongoing research that focuses on various aspects of imprisonment and sentencing. As one of the internship coördinators for the bachelor students of Criminology, she is motivated to find a suitable internship for every student and to guide them through their first work experience in the field.
