Biography
Marijke Roosen holds a Master and PhD in Criminology. Her doctoral research focused on the use of surveillance technology within a penal setting. She defended her doctoral thesis at the Criminology Department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2018, after which she took a position as a researcher at UC Leuven-Limburg. She has performed ethnographic research within the electronic monitoring centre in Belgium, and her current research focuses on diverse aspects of domestic violence, including Risk Assessment Instrument Intimate Partner Violence.
