Megan Hadasa Leal Causton
Biography
Megan Hadasa Leal Causton is a doctoral researcher on the ERC-funded DATAUNION project and a researcher on the FWO Smart Video Surveillance in Smart Cities: Deconstructing Surveillance and Security Discourses.
Research interests revolve around the fields of Archival & Information Studies, Media Studies, STS, and developing interdisciplinary digital research methods for mapping complex information environments. The title of her doctoral research is Turning data into evidence: Managing the chain of preservation and custody for accountable information systems in the European (Data) Union.
Prior to joining VUB, Megan worked as a Data Scientist and Researcher within the tech and GLAM sector including the Nationaal Archief (NL). She holds an MA from the University of Amsterdam in Archival and Information Studies.
