Description: At the end of 2016, a reform of the existing subsidy landscape was initiated within the Flemish Department of Justice (Houses of Justice): the aim is to provide an appropriate offer of help and services for every person who has to carry out a community-oriented punishment. Initially, the former ‘leerstraf’ was reformed: a unified offer of eight behavioral training modules (‘gedragstrainingen’), organized by province, came into place. This project studies the start-up and current course of the behavioral training in Flanders. We examine the extent to which the stated objectives are feasible and fulfilled in practice.
